Abstract

Sida cordifolia Linn. commonly known as Bala, a small erect downy shrub widely distributed along with other species throughout the tropical and sub- tropical plains all over India and Srilanka upto an altitude of 1050m. It is used in Ayurvedic medicines from a very long time. The study review highlight its delineation in Samhitas, Nighantus.
